Split Second (Pivot Point #2) by Kasie West Review

WARNING: SPOILERS

Dear Lord, help me. This book. Oh, this book. This freaking book. I am in love. I love this book. It was even better than Pivot Point. At least I think so. I read Pivot Point a year ago so I don't remember it all that well but I really do think Split Second was better. I really liked the fact that we alternated between Addie's and Laila's point of view. This book was so good and I loved the ending so much and I cried and laughed and gasped and got angry at certain characters and had feels because of Trevor and Addie, and Laila and Connor. But her grandfather. Addie's grandfather. Those parts killed me. Killed me. First, when she found out he was alive. I started tearing up because of how she felt and Kasie West, wow. Just, wow. I felt what Addie was going through at the moment and it was extrememly emotional. But then when we found out he was actually a Perceiver who was pretending to be her grandfather. Oh, my god. I was so sad. I loved that she had someone to go to and how he was a little coocoo in the head. And hated how he was brought back into her life but then ripped away from her so quickly. I really loved this book. I loved all the characters. Expect for the obvious ones that you're supposed to hate. I loved Laila, Connor, Addie, Trevor, and Eli and it was just an amazing book. I don't know if there's going to be a third book but I kind of hope there is. But I don't really know what Kasie West will do with it. I'm not sure if it was obvious or not, but I kind of want another book because I want to know about Bobby and see Addie's life in the Norm world now and see Trevor finally fall in love with her. Oh totally forgot to mention this part but when she got her memories back of the Norm world from her Search and fell in love with Trevor again. That was amazing. And when she finally realized why she decided to stay in the Compound was because Laila died in the Norm world before. But seriously when she told Trevor everything and told him about her Search and how she knows him but he doesn't know her. Emotions. They were everywhere. Those parts were so sad when she would almost start crying because of how much she loves Trevor but that he doesn't love her or know her yet. Kasie West really is phenomenal. I stayed up until 12:30 AM reading. And I know that isn't that late but I go to sleep pretty early, so it's late for me.

Overall Rating: ★★★★★
